Hey everyone, in the mix today is yet another fantastic Designer Set which is essentially my club set for the next while. In preparation for the venue this week, I've prepared a sample of what I'm going to be playing as I intent to rip it up with nice hard hitting electro. This is an essential set so make sure you keep this one in your regular rotation as it has all latest and greatest house music to date. DU8SHOW Episode 17: Summer Club Set in tha Mix!

Hey everyone, here today is the next Episode of the DU8SHOW which I'm excited to bring. It's a practice set for this weekend as I will be playing at an undisclosed location, at least for the time being. I will announce where in the coming days so let's get right to it; since this is a club set, I've prepared a mix with a little bit of extra pump. Depending on the venue, I usually hit the people hard with pure dancing tracks and I build up at various points. It's expected, sometimes I get a little excited and I start throwing in odd tracks to spice it up a little. Consider this an essential set for song selection but I will soon remix it for a final cut to put on CD. A little something to get you moving, cheers!

Electro White Labels in Tha Mix!

Hey everyone, I have a great set to start off the weekend as it is has been a while since I’ve released an electro set. Now, I must admit that I’m still quite divided about electro in the scene today but it is the dominating force that is sweeping the world and lest we forget that I’ve been making electro sets before it got big. What’s different about it now? Well, I can say that it is without a doubt house music because of the simple fact that if you build up a crowd enough, electro can do some damage no matter where you play. It’s different in the sense that the creativity and freedom that artists have so within the context of house music, allows almost any genre to have some great remixes with electro. That is also why hip hop became so big, it went perfect with reggae and reggaeton. So with electro going the house route, it definitely adds some nice variety. For the opening set of Episode 17 of the DU8SHOW, I’m going to introduce some White Label Electro tracks that is sure to please. AND while I will also play latin and chillout house, electro will always have a place in my heard, along with tribal so expect some great sets like the ones I’m putting up today to be rotated on the regular. Back by Popular Demand: The Summer Mix!

I'm just putting up a quick link to my promo CD which was also the Summer Mix of Episode 15. I had a lot of great feedback on it and I got email for a re-post. I mean, why not? It's got a great set of music which starts out funky, goes a little latin and all around good set to have in the car or on an MP3 player riding on the subway. I'm actually working on the second summer set which I should have by the end of this week, if possible but definitely stay tuned for that.

Chillout to the max: DU8SHOW Episode 16 (Askesian Chillout Mix)!

Hey guys, it’s time for the 16th Episode of the DU8SHOW and I’m pleased to bring you one of the best Chillout mixes that I’ve ever done. The Askesian Chillout Mix. The original files was lost a couple of years back and only two physical copies of the mix were floating around between my friends. Yesterday I was able to find it to bring you guys the entire CD in one shot for today’s show. It definitely has an amazing set of songs and it is probably the best reason to like Chillout House simply because it had some of the best songs that I’ve ever played out in the clubs. Since I’ve been reviving some old popular mixes of yesteryear, I’ve also added the very first episode of the DU8SHOW including a mini-Classic house set that has a few White Label tracks. Essential Sets - Diplomatico exclusives!

Hey everyone, I’m making a surprise visit to leave you a couple of sets that I dug up posts from the previous Opera site, Diplomatico. It’s standard fare with mixing electro in some and funky in others. I’ve tweaked the sound for each of the mixes to either tribal or latin vibes to spice things up. It’s a nice little collection to have stowed away in your archive and it’s great to have on a regular playlist as your working or heading to work unless, of course, you have the luxury of listening to it while laying by the pool. If so, I’m sure there’s a cute girl who’s already extended me an invitation but one could only dream.

As for some updates for the site, I’ve begun to transfer my Facebook community towards this site and I even started using Twitter for updates on the show. Oddly enough, after all the things I’ve read about, I never felt compelled to use Twitter. That and the fact that never felt the need to ‘twitter’ things. Well, with the growing popularity of the DU8SHOW podcast, I’ve begun to beam towards the site in hopes that it will help expand the community and so far, I’m optimistic.

Summer is coming...DU8SHOW Episiode 14!

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay but I’m pleased to announce that the new May mixes are finally in so here's the first one. I was digging through my crates and started experimenting with some old and new house. It’ll have the house lover dancing their feet off (if you play it loud enough) or it'll just might make you scratch your head. The Electro guys, especially, are going to get the nod with the nice edgy and sharp electro but Summer is coming so I had to throw in a major tribal vibe that is definitely worth a listen.

This mix is also a work in progress so there are some rough mixes here and there, don't mind it at all. The concept of this set was entirely for music selection. Seasons are changing and it’s time to start throwing in some dancing beats to get people moving. After all, the patios are going to be in full swing within the next couple of weeks.

At the end I threw in a little Armand van Helden’s Entre Mi Casa, the remix, and I apologize in advance for the mix NOT being safe for work. I’ll put a reminder in there below for the Main Set with NFSW. Today’s show is specifically for the girls, since most of the guys will be caught up playing Grand Theft Auto IV...sigh, yes I did have to bring that up. Anyways, Enjoy!

Block Party with DU8SHOW Episode 13th with Latin Essentials CD Vol. 4!

Hey guys, it’s time for the 13th Episode of the DU8SHOW and I will admit, this particular number made me rather nervous. After all, Microsoft is releasing their next Office suite as version 14 because 13, which would’ve been the number of their release after Office 2007 was deemed as bad luck. I will also admit that I’m not all that superstitious myself so for today’s post there is a great line-up.

The DU8SHOW, as the format as come to be in the past while, is supplemented with an Opening Set that has a few tracks you might not have heard (or heard in a while) like Bassment Jaxx’s Hush Boy, the Junior Jack remix of You Make Me Want to Be A Man sans the vocals and DJ Jose’s Hecitate. As for the regular show, I have a nice Electro set with an up-to-date line-up of nice Electro tracks including some a Sharam remix of a nice Kylie tune, Robyn with the Seamus and Haji treatment, one of the new ones from Cedric Gervais and one of my personal favourites; the Goldenboy and Miss Kitten bomb aptly named ‘Rippin Kitten’ remixed by Deux. A nice set I threw together for today. And last but certainly not least is my 4th Volume of the DU8SHOW Essentials Experimental CD with a latin flair for those who want to drive with the top down and the house music blaring. You can’t go wrong with a base of Bob Sinclair favourites, Tim Deluxe, Claude Monnet, Spiller and even some Rosabel Cha Cha Heels! Directions: Pump the Volume and Dance where necessary.

In a couple of weeks time, I’m going to release a final cut of all the CDs so you guys can archive them appropriately and have complete sets for your MP3 players or, more so, your cars. Electro Mania: DU8SHOW Episode 12 and Minimal Superstar Mix!

Hey guys, today is going to be a great offering; cream of the crop for the tech heads out there as Episode 12 of the DU8SHOW is strictly electro with all the newest and hottest tracks out today. Also, in preparation for some reworking of my live club set, I made a practice set which isn’t perfect but has a lot of great music. Actually, I don’t end up keeping half of the mixes with the single blemishes because they end up piling up and you have nothing to do with them. This was an exception because after the glitch, I played with some other songs to keep everything going and it ended up sounding really good, so I saved it to share with you guys. The majority of these songs will make it on my Essentials CD series being rolled out over the next couple of months. And lastly, as a special surprise I threw in a tiny Minimal set that the electro fans (since you’re already here) can pick up and stash away in your secret mix pile.
