Essentials in the Mix: DU8SHOW Episode 10!
Hey guys! Today's show is a good set of essential latin-inspired house tracks that would be great for anyone's playlist. I also added in some extras like MAW's Harddrive 2000 with Never Forget, Yves LaRock's Zookey/Lift Your Leg Up and Nalin and Kane's awesome Beachball track that will bring back some good memories. I wanted to showcase a special track that I used to play in the club but never heard anyone else played it, Havana Funk's Bakiri Ban. There was an excellent Dub Version which has a consistent Timbale line that was reminiscent of the River Ocean song with India way-back-when. If you like the track, try getting the Major Boys Remix which was a nice electro remix of the track that you rarely hear from latin house anthems. All in all, great set. Enjoy!

As this blog is in a testing phase, the first revision makes this version 'v.01' and all updates included will reflect the number changes until official release.
Updated Theme
I included a new theme called "Rounders 3" to add some life to the site. The previous 'Minimal Black' was a little too dark for my liking so I spruced it up.
New Page Elements
I revised a sidebar element which contained a brief introduction. This, of course, will not be permanent as I intend for this particular section to have detailed information about the site to help new visitors. For now, it's a good introduction.
Site Feed Added:
I added a feed from 'diplomatico' from Opera which will allow me to post exclusive information for this site. The addition of the site feed maintains a parallel operation of both sites until I dismantle the old site and focus more of the new features on the new site. Watch for more feeds to be included in the near future.
Background Fixes
With both AdSense and Analytics, I had to go back to the drawing board and play around with the HTML which was rather difficult. It has become apparent that there needs to be more work done in this section. For the time being I have implemented AdSense among the entries but it won't allow me to distribute more ads within the page. I'm still looking into that but if nothing can be added, then AdSense will most likely be implemented between posts permanently. As for analytics, I have been experiencing some problems with receiving traffic information and this has been a milestone for the site. Once I get a handle of what kind of traffic I'm getting from the site, I will be able to finalize the layout and feature set towards an official launch.
Upcoming Fixes
There is a lot of work that has yet to be done for the site. For one, the show itself will be marred by a simple hosting problem which limits accessibility of the show. The maximum time a link from Sendspace to a file for the show is 7 days, sometimes going for as long as two weeks. I am still searching for a hosting solution for the show but at this time, anyone who is willing to host the show and relating mini-episodes are more than welcome. Since I am in a transition phase from Opera to Blogger, there are some things that I want to add to the page to make it more robust. Of course, since the limited availability of the show is hindering it's progress, other ideas that I had for entries such as articles and added information about the show will be included for the next while. The main problem is that I can't get a read on any traffic on the site as of yet and hopefully after this latest tweak, I'm going to be able to implement the changes that rely on the traffic in the next few days. Visitors are more than welcome to advise changes, critiques and suggestions for future Megamix shows. More to come soon, stay tuned!

Return of the Divas with 'Best of Diplomatico' Set!
Hey guys, It’s finally Friday and a special Happy Birthday unfortunate enough to be born today. Okay, let’s be fair here; it’s just a glitch in the matrix and therefore, we should take advantage of the limits of the universe. Nevermind the brain-drain, let’s get down to business. Today I have a bunch of music for you in addition to today’s show. I brought back the Diva series and I made two versions of the mix where I couldn’t decide which one to post. So, I’m going to post the version that was the runner up and save the goods for Sunday or Monday. It’s a Diva Set which has a nice collection of remixed vocal goodness that you’ve come to know from top artists like Tiesto, DJ Gregory, Mylo, Fedde Le Grande, and Pig and Dan. Sample Wednesdays: 'Art of House' Concept and Jamiroquai Megamix!
Hey everyone, hope all is doing well in this week so far. Today is going to be a good day for those who have been waiting for the Jamiroquai Megamix as I have an early draft of the set in the flesh posted. Honestly, I’ve been trying time and time again to get a good draft of this set and it has been next to impossible. First, I should say that this was probably one of the most difficult mixes as the majority of Jamiroquai’s songs were prime time songs. I had a similar problem with the Madonna Megamix and often times they’re usually difficult to put together because usually these songs weren’t meant to be played one after another. The way I curbed this problem was to reach deep into the record stash and find all the remixes which thankfully had a great deal of variety. Jamiroquai remix work spans quite a wide spectrum as notable artists such as Danny Tenaglia, Roger Sanchez, Masters at Work and Tom Belton just to name a couple. Now, this is an early set which isn’t representative of the Megamix that I’ll official post in the near future. Next is the introduction of a new series that I’m going to be working on along with the DU8SHOW and that is called ‘Art of House’. Basically, I’ve been re-listening to all the tracks that I have and I’m starting to compile special mixes which has mostly underground songs and commercial songs with underground work done to them. I wanted to have a nice set of exclusive mixes where I specialized in the various sounds of house throughout its history and at times warp to the future with some new music thrown into the mix. In the end I’ll be moving towards an special collection of a series of mixes that will be very unique. Stay tuned!

Hey guys, I should first say that I’m sorry there weren’t any posts in the past week but I have a bunch of good stuff today. The past week I’ve been taking some time to relax a bit and to put some work into a couple of new projects I have going on. I guess I was putting so much time into it that I never realized that it’s been so long since I posted and the day that came for me to actually put something up was inevitably, Valentine’s Day. It’s supposed to be a good day for the lovers but...for the singles, it’s a mixed bag. I mean, I would love to rant about my love life as I’m single in the city but I have always felt that the best outlet for undesirable memories of previous love interests was music. Music has always been the answer for me and I’ve managed to make it quite useful in the situations which involved matters of the heart as it served me well after break-ups and related incidents in dating. Then again, sometimes the power of music just fuels existing relationships in some way or another, especially if your primary creative outlet is music. Hey guys, I should first say that I’m sorry there weren’t any posts in the past week but I have a bunch of good stuff today. The past week I’ve been taking some time to relax a bit and to put some work into a couple of new projects I have going on. I guess I was putting so much time into it that I never realized that it’s been so long since I posted and the day that came for me to actually put something up was inevitably, Valentine’s Day. It’s supposed to be a good day for the lovers but...for the singles, it’s a mixed bag. I mean, I would love to rant about my love life as I’m single in the city but I have always felt that the best outlet for undesirable memories of previous love interests was music. Music has always been the answer for me and I’ve managed to make it quite useful in the situations which involved matters of the heart as it served me well after break-ups and related incidents in dating. Then again, sometimes the power of music just fuels existing relationships in some way or another, especially if your primary creative outlet is music. Hey guys, it's time for a megamix which is sure to please more than a few out there. Madonna is a music god that has been a big part of the house scene for many years. Her tracks have been remixed countless times and by some of the biggest names in the biz. I know that Madonna wouldn't approve of this being up but this whole compilation was put together on some of the biggest tracks that we've laid down on a crowd in the clubs, so the people have power.
