DU8SHOW pres. Electro Superstar! 09 - Industry Edition Mix!

Hey everyone, the weekend is here and it’s a looking to be quite nice as we head into sunny and blue skies. Today, I’m bringing a treat as I’m unleashing yet another fan-favourite Industry Edition set with the Electro flavour. It brings some really big tracks and quite a number of club essentials in a neat little package; definitely a keeper.

To begin, we start with the essentials like Muzzaik’s Black Power and a great Milk & Sugar remix of Yves Murasca’s All About House Music. Then, I dropped a track that was a staple in the early rise of Electro House with a huge Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso remix of Dark Side of the Moon by legends Ernesto & Sebastian easing into yet another slick remix by DJ Pedro and Oliver Berger of The Miami Project’s update to Queen’s Another One Bites the Dust. I sail into some more serious electro tracks with Teo Moss and Sebastien Benett’s Rock U Up, a well-liked Adam K. And Dataworx tune called Pushin and I close with a crazy Vandalism rework of the shouting Latinas from 3rd Face with Canto Delia Liberta.

In closing, I’d like to say (quite loosely) that changes are coming very soon to the podcast and blog so be sure to keep your Twitter and Facebook tuned in to be a part some historical events happening with the DU8SHOW. Right now we’re working on a number of back-end issues to host a database of all of the podcasts as well as finalizing the planning for a new show format. Official Announcements are coming soon so don’t forget to keep checking in. And P.S., the next DU8SHOW will arrive this weekend. Thanks for visiting!

Electro and Tribal House to the Max: Lobby Essentials (Cheaters Club Mix)!

As the weekend winds down, I have a brand new Lobby Essentials set called the Cheaters Club Mix. This mix is a bit of an adventure for the electro fans and since it has been a while since I threw down some tribal house, I fused it in with some pretty solid tracks to keep you moving throughout the week.

First off, since I don’t usually play tribal, it would be fitting that I mention these tracks first: we have some D-Formation remixed by a master of his craft; Victor Calderone remixing a rare track called The Third Dimension, Jesse Garcia has always been a tribal favourite with his ultra-popular Tribal Spain series bringing you Vol. 6 called Talkin’ About House, and you guys know I like to put in some Deep South with the original Miami fix of Tribal America. With this kind of tribal, you of course need some Wally Lopez remixing some Tiesto and you can’t go wrong with Chus & Cebellos with a really sweet track called So Far Away off of the original vinyl. All of this great tribal is wrapped up in some pretty nice electro with a huge Raul Rincon remix of Yves LaRock’s Rise Up, an Axwell remix bomb of Pharrell’s Angel, Laidback Luke tweaks a nice TV Rock vibe with hidden gem Duke of Windsor’s The Others and nothing goes into heavy tribal set like some Robbie Rivera where I put in some Mario OchoA (8A) with the megahit; The Dubai Track.

This set is a great party set as it is one of the essential sets for you collection and is definitely a keeper. Not many of my sets have such a mind-bending mix of Electro, Tribal and ending off with some banging latin house tracks; I mean, I have Saxo at the end! (When was the last time you raised your hands to that beat?) Enjoy this set and don’t let anyone make you turn it down!

Hey everyone, March and spring is upon us and for the first show of the month, we have DU8SHOW Episode 47 – The Elemental Club Mix. We have some upbeat electro club bangers to have you dancing your butt off.

diplomatico brings the heat, Latin style: DU8SHOW Episode 46 (Latina Heat Club Set)!

Hey everyone, it’s time for Episode 46 of the DU8SHOW and following up Friday’s Designer Set, I’ve done another great latin house set that will sure to keep you dancing non-stop. The Latina Heat Club Set is one of my marquee latin house sets which those who have heard me live know all too well as I’ve included that absolute essentials that should be played in a club to get the night started and well into the beginning of the pick-up for electro or even tribal.

This set includes some well known tracks including a dance remix of Aventura’s Obsession, the Sergio Flores remix of Yves LaRock’s hit Zookey and Armand van Helden’s Entre Mi Casa. Other tracks that might garner some attention would be a Major Boy’s gem called Panamerica and Barillas’ Andale giving the latin house vibe with some degree of authority. Rounding off the mix is a rare Afrika System track called Anikanao, a way-back playback house version of Lambada and of course we can’t forget the classic house smash-hit Shake It from Jark and Prongo from the yellow vinyl we DJs all remember. Yes, mine’s still scratched to hell.

I’m pleased to bring you these great latin house sets and they truly are lost gems as Electro has taken over and going above and beyond everything in the scene today. But those who know what to start the night off with, especially on a boat party or patio, will go with the latin house essentials and these are the tracks that’ll sure please the crowd, guaranteed. Enjoy!

diplomatico brings Toronto Soul with DU8SHOW Episode 45!

Hey everyone, we apologize for the short hiatus but we’re pleased to bring you Episode 45 of the DU8SHOW called the Toronto Soul Mix. It’s a great vocally soul-inspired set with some familiar favourites and some obscure remixes that you might not have heard before.

First we bring some Beach Soul with a favourite in the chillout circles; Fade by Solu Music and we ease into the hugely popular Lost by Roger Sanchez. We bring in the big tracks with the Max Graham re-work of Owner of a Lonely Heart, with Back to Basics from the Shapeshifters, Madonna’s Hung Up, a Michael Gray club essential Be My Friend by Scape and a lost gem that I found in my collection with Mylo’s amazing Kylie remix of I Believe In You – this was a special edition vinyl with a full color picture of Kylie all over the front. (Us DJs would probably remember that Mylo’s remix on the record was challenging to find in a dark DJ booth, good times)

The Toronto Soul mix is a bit of how we in the T. Dot mix it down with the essentials and would definitely serve to be a staple in any house music collection. Enjoy!

DU8SHOW Episode 44 (Legacy Set): Massive Electro House Club Set!

Creative Process by unknown (deviantart.com)

Welcome House Lovers, I hope you’ve been enjoying your week so far. Today I have for you a huge Club set from a brand new sleeve for 2009 called ‘Legacy’ which is a representative of the high-energy live club mix that I put into the DU8SHOW for Episode 44.

The Legacy Set is the work of some of finest club house tracks that you’ll find today and for those who are in the know, the tracks that are being played out today. I, of course, put a little bit of a diplomatico slant by compiling an amazing set that will have you dancing non-stop, so keep this as an essential mix in your collection.

To start off with, I put in some recent club bangers including a new song from The Hamptons Simple and the latest from one of the fathers of Tech House, Antoine Clamaran with Gold remixed by Digital Mode – which those two alone are excellent tracks just to have in your setlist. I’ve rounded it off with a Chris Lake edit of Axwell and Steve Edwards’ Watch the Sunrise, a D.O.N.S. and Terry B. You Used to Hold Me remix from TV Rock, and a massive Mobin Master prime-time monster of Sweet Mercy’s Reach Out vocal’d by Rowetta. I then completed the set with some of favourites that were requested from some visitors including the Diamond Life remix by Anthony Cazorla bringing forth the Pryda vibe, an ATFC remix of Dirty South’s Let It Go and of course, a track you can never seems to age, Royksopp’s 49 Percent remixed by Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso.

The Legacy sets are soon going to be the most sought after exclusive underground Electro sets coming from the industry standard compilations of my Electro Superstar! Series. Definitely not a set to miss, Enjoy!
