Merry Christmas to all! I prepared today's post with some extra surprises to supplement the two mixes I have for Episode 41 of the DU8SHOW. As a special Christmas gift to all those who just got new netbooks, MP3 players (and related accessories), mobile phones and stereos and I gave you some great mixes to break the new devices in. It's a little something that I thought most of you would appreciate since it is rather difficult to find just the right thing to enjoy new toys but for the house music lovers, I have you covered.

For today's show there is quite an interesting mix of songs as I've retrofitted both sets for DU8SHOW Episode 41 for those who seek a soulful and upbeat tracklist that brings the best in loungy house. For starters I've included a great deal of Miguel Mig's tracks from the Petalpusher sleeve which are among my personal favorite and are lovingly played in a great deal of lounges and special patio parties. In addition, I've included tracks from Louie Vega, a remix by Midnight Societey and a remix gem of Seal's Get It Together. The Aftershow is a concept mix where I've included similarly themed loungy and latin house that delves into the tribal sound. To solidify the vibe, I've put in some Mastiksoul, Axwell, Mojo Project, Chocolate Puma, Bob Sinclair and for good measure, I've finished off the set with Tom Novy's smash hit; Your Body.

While I'm going to subdue the site with just music, I am looking forward to bringing new and exciting changes to the site over the next couple of weeks. I'm pleased to find that many people are finding this site and enjoying the music and it excites me further that with the new ideas that I have for the podcast and the site, I will be announcing some changes that are going to take place in the upcoming new year. Overall, I'm pleased with how everything is turning out and I hope everyone's been enjoying the show thus far. Designer Sets Exclusive: The D&G Mix (Black Edition) - Deep House in tha Mix!

Hey everyone, it's time for yet another special mix from my Designer Sets Sleeve; The D&G Mix. It's on par with yesterday's Chillout Mix with a few tracks that were favorites in the past and will definitely be a collection that is worthy of the sets that were part of the Black Edition sets which fit the various Designer monikers.

I’ve included more Kings of Tomorrow tracks with one of the staples of classic house Finally including a great MK and MTV remix of 6PM, Boom Da Boom by Harrison Crump, a Hardrive 2000 classic; Work This, Like This and a way-back playback of an old Murk track Tribal America by Deep South. There are also some elements of deep house with Artium’s In Love With You and Kaskade’s In This Life remixed by Justin Michael and Balages Hermosa.

This mix is definitely a keeper and great for those days when you need to unwind with some nice vocals to sing along to. It’s going to be leading up to a great weekend as I’m going to be posting many more mixes in a promotional blitz that set to start tomorrow. Enjoy!

Sexy Soulful House: DU8SHOW Episode 40 (Chillout Edition)!

Hey everyone, I hope you guys have been enjoying the week so far. Today, I’m going to be slowing things down a bit and give you a journey into a soothing ambient sound which is quite unique in the house genre. Chillout or loungy house music has been a staple of my sets since the very beginning and while good loungy tracks are hard to come by, they stand the test of time.

For Episode 40 of the DU8SHOW I have a very special collection of house tracks that I put together as a staple for your diplomatico collection of mixes. We have here some of the greats including Afro Medusa, Kings of Tomorrow, Little Louis Vega, Osunlade, and Negrocan. I picked it up a bit with a Warren Clarke remix of Martin Solveig’s Rocking Music along with a Chubby Fingers gem called Losing My Mind. I threw in a really eclectic Kenny Dope rework of the Kanye West hit, Addiction and I’ve included two amazing tracks; the Dubdeluxe remix of Astudio’s SOS and an interesting remix of John Dahlback’s Nothing is for Real by Askesian Society.

This chillout mix is workpiece of soulful and sexy house music which I always maintain is some of the more accessible genres of house music around. Enjoy!

Steve Angello Megamix and DU8SHOW Episode 39: Rock On!

Hello Party People! As promised I have a very special megamix for you today and it’s been a long time coming. I handpicked a select few songs from one of my personal favourite DJ and Producers, Steve Angello, who is internationally famous for being part of the Swedish House Mafia which includes Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell and Eric Prydz. Though many of his tracks are in heavily collaboration with all of these producers, I tried to pick some of his solo work as best as I could. All in all there is an amazing line-up here. I included his remixes of Moby, Sharam, Morillo and his crew and a banger from Madonna which round out some of this excellent original work. Of course, Steve Angello is known to bring high-energy songs to his line-ups and hence, the megamix itself is a party on its own. I had so many tracks to choose from that even if I used half of them, the set would be well into three hours so I chose carefully.

To go along with this great mix, I’ve included a special edition of the DU8SHOW today which has a great tracklisting including The Killers, Martin Solveig, Bodyrockers, Sono, Hoxton Whores and of course an almost forgotten gem from Max Linen; Flashback with the D. Ramirez treatment. The Superstar Edition of DU8SHOW Episode 39 has the rock vibe that ushered Electro in its purest form to the world a couple of years back. DJs know very well that these were the songs that basically started it all. So enjoy these essential mixes which give anyone a loud sound system a license to dance. Cheers!

Two Dirty Electro House Sets - DU8SHOW Episode 37!

Hey everyone, this weekend I’m starting things with some Promo CDs that I’m putting out as both the opening and main sets for Episode 37 of the DU8SHOW. It’s an amazing line-up of edgy, sexy and dirty tech, electro and minimal. I’ve pulled out all the stops for this one so they’re definitely keepers and will have you dancing the night away.

The opening set will have great remixes from Satoshi Tomie, King Unique (always a favourite) as well as originals from underground greats such as Elektrochemie, Chab, Claude von Stroke and a surprisingly good remix of Celeda’s Amazing by Trevor Simpson. For the main set it’s all the hits: I have Mobin Master’s rework of the Evemore anthem; It’s Too Late, the newest banger to hit the streets by Mark Knight and Funkagenda with Running, D’azoo At Night’s newest along with some Vandalism remixes and yet another Gabriel & Dresden mashup with Chakalaka Down.

I know I was planning for the classic house and megamix sets to come next but I’m saving it for later on in the weekend. Tonight, I’m prepping you for the club to get the blood pumping.
